How many PT/OT visits should an injured worker be seen for?
Our providers have the expertise and experience using evidence based medicine to provide the appropriate number of visits for a safe, effective, and efficient return to work. As an Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) Certified facility, our providers follow the recommended guidelines throughout the rehab process.
How soon can an injured worker get scheduled for an appointment?
PT/OT: With Spine Solutions, Inc., all injured workers can be seen as early as same day or within 24-48 hours. It is well documented the sooner you treat a work-related injury the sooner the Return to Work.
Spine Solutions, Inc. through our own in-house study found that injured workers seen within 48 hours of the injury were discharged 30% sooner than injured workers who had a delay in their therapy treatment.
FCE: Functional Capacity Evaluations are 4-hour long sessions and scheduled within 10-14 days.
Ergo: An ergo assessment will be scheduled within 10-14 days.
During an ergo assessment
Using OSHA guidelines, an ergo assessment is an assessment of the work environment to place an employee in an efficient and productive body position. The purpose is to reduce fatigue, increase productivity, and improve overall comfort when working.
Onsite: Our Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialists will work one-on-one with the employee at their workstation
Virtual: Our Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialists will work one-on-one with the employee via a safe, secure video platform that allows live, interactive, remote interaction.
During a telehealth appointment
S2 staff will send simple easy to log on instructions to the employee. The session can be completed on any device with an internet connection – smartphone, tablet, or computer. The therapist and employee are live and interactive.

A site visit will be scheduled to collect the physical demands of the essential functions of the job at the jobsite. This information will be compiled into a written report title Job Function Description.
